Disassembling and Rearranging Strelitzia

Almost at the end of the Strelitzia flowering season but we managed to source plenty of material for the lesson.

We proceeded to cut, slice, dissect, wire, etc stems, leaves and the flowers of Strelitzia. Some, especially me ended up with a very disassembled ‘mess’ on the table only then had to set about rearranging into an interesting ‘work of art’.

Why do we do this? This exercise was set to make us look closely at the material to discover something new and increase our knowledge of the material. Sensei said when we do the exercise in the Textbook 4 lesson #9, we can use more than one material plus add a flower for focal point.
