No we are not building – well maybe we are ‘building’ an arrangement. Jorgen and I came up with the theme as a joke but then asked Sensei to make it a lesson challenge.

I think a few class members were a little perplexed as what to bring. Some people found house bricks behind garages; I collected tiles from a roofing job down the road, others settled for what they could find in laundry and kitchen cupboards. Sesnei said it really didn’t matter what we selected because the theme really came under the category of unconventional material.

I enjoyed the challenge using hard inert materials with the soft fresh plant material. What is your view on using ‘building construction’ materials
