The Japanese ambassador His Excellency Takaaki Kojima and Mrs Kojima, hosted a Sogetsu demonstration by Mr Tetsunori Kawana at the Japanese embassy’s residence on 20th May.
A large arrangement of rich autumn leaves, vines and camellia leaves stood in the foyer where His Excellency Takaaki Kojima and Mrs Kojima welcome their guests. The audience was treated to a wonderful selection of arrangements. Materials such as huge horsetail, pomegranates, and large sprays of white camellia branches sourced from Ping Block’s garden were the basis of about ten arrangements. Mr Tetsunori Kawana kept the audience wondering and on the edge of their chairs as he defied gravity or added even more material to an arrangement.
