Budding ceramic artists or just having fun?
Wow! A fabulous day had by all – almost up to our elbows in clay with the creative ideas running freely. The workshop was fun, exciting and a new learning experience whilst meeting new people who were all Sogetsu Ikebana artists.
The freedom to be able to choose, make and create to our hearts content made the day flash by with so many more ideas and so little time to make another creation.
The style of construction was divided into ‘the rollers and the rockers’ – ‘the rollers’ producing slab containers of various heights and widths while ‘the rockers’ produced rock or round shaped vessels with the most amazing textures and sprigging.
An ikebana arrangement in our fired container will complete the scene from what was a great day.
